Solok Coffee: The Character of Sumatran Arabica and How to Choose It
Solok coffee is known for being sweet, smooth, and rich in fruit notes. Get to know the character of Solok arabica and its processing options before making a purchase.

Solok Coffee originates from the highlands of Solok in West Sumatra. This region is recognized as one of the top producers of Minang arabica, increasingly popular among coffee enthusiasts, especially due to its diverse and creative processing options.
Flavor Profile of Solok Arabica
Solok arabica generally tastes smoother and sweeter compared to the bold Sumatran coffee. In many lots, you can find notes of fruit, honey, or chocolate, depending on the post-harvest processing. This is quite different from Gayo coffee, which tends to have a thick body, making them a great pair to try alternately.
Solok Coffee Processing Options

- [Natural Anaerob](/produk/arabica-solok-natural-anaerob): beans are fermented in an oxygen-free container before drying, producing a more complex and distinct aroma and flavor.
- Honey: available in several variants, such as Honey Nanas Maryam and Honey Jeruk Maryam, with a balanced sweet flavor.
The difference between each process is explained in detail in the article understanding coffee processing.
How to Choose Solok Coffee

Brew with the Right Method
